During the 5 week programme we picked out songs that meant something to us. We started to create our own pieces of writing that were aspirational. We were asked to create a piece of writing, which had a personal motivational meaning and got us out of our comfort zone.

We also created a vision board, which prompted some really uplifting, supportive conversations and got us talking about our futures. The medium of the activity, in terms of being exposed to the technology used, creative processes and the different ways of working together was completely different to all of us.

Creating our own podcast especially generated so many transferable skills; from recording, to working as a group, creating meaningful spoken pieces to inform others and bringing our experiences to life.

Creative Me is a fabulous course to channel and find your creative inner self. It takes you on a journey to explore your goals, future aspirations and to start planning out your future visions and dreams. Taking people on a journey and leaving an imprint is one of the most amazing aspects of the course, as it stems to learners wanting to take part in future courses and to look for employment opportunities!
